I'm more confused by the call up because they literally don't know what to do with 90% of the women on the main roster, so why add anyone?

I'm asking that more with regards to Heavy Machinery's call-up. The women at least get time to weave in and out of sight more often than not, and have some change in who fights. There's top of card, mid card, and low card, and the stories don't always make sense and they don't usually get enough development, but I'd say everyone has decent visibility (especially compared to a lot of the men's solo roster).

However, the tag teams? There's the top teams then the joke teams. Anyone in the midcard only shows up after months to chase the titles for a bit or fight with a thrown-together team of two main event solo stars who have a feud at the next pay-per-view.

Like Braun is an exception to all of this since he skipped developmental. And I think he managed to excel as much as he has because his matches are like the most basic matches imaginable and he was hot shot to working with really good wrestlers on the house show circuit every night who could help him with that.

But I think he's the only relative amateur at this that could possibly benefit from this process. For instance, Lars is a guy who spent forever in developmental and he's actually really good. I don't think he'll have any problems, but it does prove that the system works for a lot of new people.

Yeah, I forgot about Strowman.

Man, it's amazing to think back to what an absolute trainwreck he was his first year as Beef Stroganoff. Still remember the awful awful match he had with the Dudleys as part of the Wyatt family.

I dont know much about her, but sometimes it can be good to fast track someone from developmental and develop on the main stage itself instead of coming up pre established in nxt.

Look at Elias compared to s lot of other nxt call ups. Maybe this is actually a good sign.

Glad to see Edge of Tomorrow win it, and Moon in the top five. I'm with Lopen on the ending of Edge being a bit too pat, but it actually works pretty well. The alien invasion was only so fast and so successful because the hivemind could replay scenarios over and over and over again and go with the best strategy to take down their opponents. The destruction of the queen in that suicidal gambit pretty much spelled the end for the opponents. It remove their timeloop strategy where, like Cage's many many many deaths, they presumably just did things until they died but were told what to do better the next millions of times, and now they just go out and die because they're drones with no direction. Not only that, but given its a hive society, their queen is their brain, their general, and their everything AFAIK. Who knows when the last time they had an individual self or thought or ability to think or to do without being given explicit instructions? Subtracting their queen, their strategy, the massive upward and downward shifts in morale on both sides, and with the newfound knowledge from both Blunt and Cruise on the other side, I can see decimation of the aliens with a much much lesser loss of life on the humans' side turning things around extremely quickly.

It makes more sense than Independence Day, that's for certain.

Arrow has been very, very good over the first half. I will always mark out for more Cody Rhodes and Kirk Acevedo.

I don't watch Supergirl so I don't know if there were any changes or new things in her section of the Flash episode, but I absolutely marked the **** out when Ollie and Barry jumped into the portal and SOMEBODY SAAAAVE MEEEE. Such familiarity with the outfits and setting, though I didn't dig Lois at all, and while Tyler Hoechlin protrayed a good Clark, look at him! Look at this man.

I have a feeling that theres going to be a break with Gabby and Christian coming soon, and that Gabby will be the villain. There was a lot of edit tonight where her emotions were overflowing. Not the crying. Her frustrations with Carl, her high five getting rid of him, all the godfather and game change talk. Feels like shes going to burn bright soon, for better or worse.

I was getting flashbacks to Ken Hoang's power trip after he was no longer the underdog, and the Peih-Gee/Jaime throw victory. I dont know where Christian falls in this, whether he has to slay Gabby, or he realizes too late and gets taken out, or they both make the end and we're seeing why Gabby lost/won.
